Demystifying Social Media Webinar Now Available!

Is this you trying to sort out Social Media for your business?

Spaghetti-kid

Social Media has moved to the forefront of business marketing. But many small and medium-size businesses or independent professionals are still struggling to gain an overall perspective on the topic. Where should one start? What social networks are important?

In this recorded webinar, I demystify Social Media and teach how to use it to create a strong online presence and effectively build a 24/7 referral network that never sleeps. You will learn:

  • The 3 Fundamental steps of any online marketing campaign
  • The main reason businesses need to have a strong online presence
  • The Silent Secret of Social Media and why it’s so powerful
  • Where online Social NWs: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc., fit in the overall marketing picture
  • How to use online social networks to “show up” in front of prospects who are looking for your product or service right now

This webinar is very basic, and I attempt to undercut what most people assume is already understood. I created this video because I find that so many people use terms like Google, blogs, Internet and web, yet don't actually fully understand what these words mean. As a result they struggle with the various programs available online (free and otherwise).

Also often missing is an overall perspective of where social media fits into a company's marketing mix. This webinar has a very important overview of the entire topic of marketing online. I hope it's helpful!

Burbank Branding Seminar April 10th at The Association

No matter what activity you find yourself engaged in, you are conveying a message.  Do you know what the message is? It's your branding.  Both personally and as a company, you are sending out a message right now that functions as your Brand Promise.

Do you know what that message should be? I sure was confused about it, until I attended a seminar by branding pro Tracy E Locke.  My partner company, The Association, turns to Tracy for all their client's branding needs.  When they have used her talents, the normal response to an advertising and marketing campaign is hundreds of leads in a few days.  No joke.

Branding as a topic was always incomprehensible to me until Tracy shared her knowledge in her trademark, fun'n'easy style.  With clear examples and stories, I was able to clarify and validate my branding message to the point where I could act.  Usually when I study about branding I walk away more confused.

Tracy's next seminar is this Saturday, 10th of April, at The Association's office in Burbank.  Interested?  Here's a link you can use to register to come.  We'll see you there!

Instant Website Visibility: Online Optimized Press Releases

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; text-underline:single;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {color:purple; text-decoration:underline; text-underline:single;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:45.0pt 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} -->

One of the primary challenges business owners face in current times is a 1st page presence on search engines.  Consumers tend to conduct an internet-based search to validate a decision to purchase (or not to purchase).  If a business cannot be found online, with decent reviews or some kind of conversation happening about it, there are a few assumptions that may be made (assumptions are not necessarily based on truth!):

1) The company is no longer in business
2) The company doesn't care about it's customers so hasn't bothered with an online presence.
3) The product or service must not be that great as "no one" is talking about it.

Oddly enough, it is possible that companies with the best service and best products haven't relied on advertising or marketing  because they live off referrals from happy customers.  The only problem is that once a potential customer gets referred by a friend, it's very likely that potential customer will still Google search anyway.  What will they find? For businesses relying on referrals only, probably not much.

Building up a large enough community to dominate search results and appear on the 1st page can take time, but should be done anyway.  However, while that's underway, there is another option.  Online Optimized Press Releases.  A Press Release is news, and is indexed into search engines right away.  After all, news isn't very useful if it appears 3-6 months later, is it?

Great, so that means anyone could write a quick article, submit it to a couple of Press Release sites and instantly end up on the 1st page of a Google Search, right?  Not even close!  A lot of skill and experience go into properly done, optimized online press releases.

While there are lots of options, the only real option is the one that gets results.  Our press release specialist is a 30 year press release veteran, expert at Search Engine Optimization, writing, research, interviewing and has a proprietary blend (our secret sauce, if you will) of sites geared towards press release submission.   Like a highly trained hitman, she nails that 1st page 99% of the time.  The really amazing part:  she's super nice, with the bedside manner of that concierge you met at the swanky resort you frequented when business was still good (and you could afford vacations at nice places).  Her most recent press release was for 20/20 Financial Services (ex: http://www.pressreleasepoint.com/la-crescenta-federal-tax-return-help-requests-rise-reports-2020-financial).

Creating a relevant, engaging presence online that allows a company to converse with it's customers is a must these days for most businesses.  It often takes a few months to make a significant impact on your bottom line.  How much business are you missing right now, today, as people search for your business and can't find it on that ever so important 1st page?  Might want to check that out.

If your business has an active cloaking device when it comes to online search engines, you might consider hiring a trained professional to "take out the competition for you".  Remember, the pen is mightier than the sword.
